Different starting points and uses
ETS describes TOEIC Bridge as designed for beginning-to-intermediate learners. Its tasks focus on everyday communication and common workplace situations. The standard TOEIC Listening and Reading and Speaking and Writing tests are broader assessments often used for job, academic, or training requirements.
Bridge can help a learner or programme identify progress and areas to work on. It is not simply a shorter version of the standard test: it uses its own question design and separate score scales.
The formats are not interchangeable
The Bridge tests are taken as separate skills assessments. Here is a quick view of their current lengths and scales.

Choose for the decision you need to make
For admission, recruitment, or placement, use the exact test named by the institution. A Bridge result should not be substituted for a standard TOEIC result unless the receiving organisation explicitly accepts it. Likewise, do not convert a Bridge number directly to the L&R total scale.
If you are choosing a practice route for your own development, compare official sample tasks at each level and select one that gives you a useful challenge without hiding basic gaps.
Check regional delivery before booking
Availability, registration, and the accepted report can vary by place and testing session. Ask the local ETS Preferred Network office or sponsoring organisation which version is offered and where results will be sent.
