How to approach this practice

Read the question or cue card and think of a relevant experience or opinion. Use short notes rather than memorising a script.

  1. Question 1 · Speaking response

Answer aloud in your own words. Develop your ideas with a reason or example.

You booked a place on a university workshop, but your confirmation email shows a different date from the one you selected. You cannot attend on the date in the email. Speak to the organiser. Explain the problem politely and ask whether you can move to the session you originally wanted.

What to review next

Listen back to your recording. Check that you answered the question, developed your ideas and spoke clearly. Record a second response after reviewing any feedback you choose to request.

A focused practice result shows how you did on these tasks. Use several activities across skills to decide what to study next; one practice score does not certify an overall CEFR level.
