Understanding a Bike-Hire Notice
Bike Hire at River Point Need a bike for a short trip? You can hire one at River Point, beside the town station. Open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Monday. The price is €8 for one day or €13 for two days. Each bike comes with a lock and a small map. Please bring an ID card when you pay, and ask our staff for a helmet if you need one. We also give free baskets for shopping. Ride along the river path, see the park, and stop for lunch in the old square. The bikes are light, so they are easy to use for visitors and families. Return the bike before 6 p.m. to avoid a late fee. On wet days, we may close early for safety. Children under 12 must ride with an adult. If you have a problem, call the number on the ticket.

What to review next
Find the words that support each answer. For a mistake, compare the question with the evidence and identify the detail or inference you missed.
A focused practice result shows how you did on these tasks. Use several activities across skills to decide what to study next; one practice score does not certify an overall CEFR level.
Before you practise: a worked example
Look for evidence in the text. Separate what the writer says from what you already know about the topic.
The library normally closes at six, but on Fridays it stays open until eight. When does it close on Friday?
The answer is eight. But introduces an exception to the normal closing time, so the first time mentioned is not the answer.
This teaching example is separate from the scored questions. After your test, compare any mistakes with the explanation and revisit the topic before trying again.
